Simone Biles

Simone Biles is an American gymnast. Born on March 14, 1997 in Columbus Ohio U.S.A. Biles was the first American female gymnast to ever win four gold medals in the same Games. At Rio de Janeiro, she also became the first woman to have won successive World All-Around championships. Biles together with her twins Adria Biles and Ronald Biles were adopted as children by the grandparents from Houston. Simone's love for gymnastics first began at age six when she took a trip with her group of daycare children to Bannon Gymnastix. Simone remained in the hands of Aimee Borman's coaching from 2011. Biles took home a gold medal for floor exercises and also a bronze in vault at the Women's Junior Olympic National Championships in 2010 before breaking into the elite level of competition in 2011. She dominated her sport less than two year later. Biles stood out for her consistently high performance and exuberant persona, and the difficulty she encountered across the four events she competed in such as vault, bars with uneven surfaces and the balance beam.
