Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah, an Indian actor and singer is well-known for her roles in Tamil as well as Malayalam films. Her first appearance as an actor was in the Tamil film Pachaikili Muthucharam as well as her Malayalam debut was with Annayum's Rasoolum. Andrea Jeremiah is an Anglo-Indian born in Arakkonam Tamil Nadu. Her father is an attorney in the Madras High Court. Her sister, who is younger, is an assistant researcher from Belgium who is employed in Leuven. Jeremiah was born close to Chennai and was a student at National Public School before graduating from Women's Christian College. Andrea started studying classical piano when she was eight. She was an avid fan of geeks and wanted to be a psychiatrist. She sang in The Jackson Five style troupe Young Stars when she was 10. The group was the beginning of the foundation for her music and singing career. At her college days, she also was an actor and appeared in a variety of stage shows put on through The Madras Players. Andrea was President of the Women's Christian College's Student Senate. Andrea began her professional career as a theatre actress by appearing in Girish Karanad's Nagamandala. In 2006, she was a part-time actress in a brand new advertisement for Leo with actor Shiva. Also, she was in the series which was broadcast on Podhigai. She's performed on stage in India. She played a minor role on the Kanda Mudhal final (2005). She performed a number of songs for Gautham Vasudev's Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu. She was asked to play one of the female lead characters for Pachaikili Muthucharam. Andrea was Kalyani the housewife who's husband is involved in had an affair. The character was threatened with a blackmail. Andrea was chosen to play Kalyani following auditions. Simran Shobana, Tabu as well as other actors were invited to audition for the role. The film was first released in the year 2010. In 2011, she agreed to play a minor support role in Venkatprabhu's multi-starrer Mankatha that was came out in August 2011. Her Malayalam film debut in the Annayum film of Rajeeev Ratti by Rasoolum in 2013.
